Almine Rech presents Los Angeles premiere of Chloe Wise’s 'Told A Vision’

Almine Rech is pleased to present the Los Angeles premiere of Chloe Wise’s Told A Vision.

Told A Vision (2023), the directorial debut of multidisciplinary artist Chloe Wise, will see its Los Angeles premiere on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Brain Dead Studios, Los Angeles. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Chloe Wise, led by comedian Eric Wareheim, and a cocktail reception in the outdoor patio of Brain Dead Studios. Originally created for Parcours, Art Basel, the 15-minute film replicates the sensation of channel surfing, the remote in an unknown holder’s hand. Moving at a crescendoing pace, fragments of commercials, marked with an uncanny visual familiarity and authoritative language advertising nothing in particular, form together a patchwork contemplation of consumerism and how it relates to the self.
