Alexandre Lenoir — Book Signing

Almine Rech announces that on Thursday, December 12, 2024, starting from 6 pm, the Librairie du Centre Pompidou, Paris, France will be welcoming Alexandre Lenoir for the signing of his latest monograph, published by Almine Rech Editions and Skira.

Alexandre Lenoir's work explores the versatility of the painted image, based on reworked personal photographs. His abundant and mysterious landscapes, often monumental in scale, depict scenes that seem to come from dreams or distant memories, in a singular style on the borderline between figuration and abstraction. Using a technique he devised himself, landscapes and figures gradually become silhouettes, a poetic elsewhere as familiar as a dream, myth or memory, where abstraction meets reality.
