Gregor Hildebrandt’s work Lümmel, (2023), is part of a series of large-scale sand-casted bronze sculptures in which chess pieces are enlarged exponentially, becoming independent sculptures with abstract geometrical volumes.
This series is one of Hildebrandt’s emblematic series of works.
With a height of 4,17 m, Lümmel is so far the largest ever produced of these sculptures and is currently shown at the Baummuseum Enea, in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland.
