BOZAR has invited Joe Bradley (°1975, Maine) to present new work in the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels. The New York-based artist works across various styles and media – from rudimentary line drawings on found cardboard and saturated canvases which reference Color Field painting to modern monochromes and bronze sculptures. Over the past decade, Bradley has become one of the most closely watched and debated painters of his generation. His work was included in the 2008 Whitney Biennial, New York Painting at Kunstmuseum Bonn (2015) and MoMA’s The Forever Now: Contemporary Painting in an Atemporal World (2014–15). He also has had solo exhibitions at MoMA PS1 and Le Consortium in Dijon to name but a few and has upcoming solo exhibitions at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo (USA) and Château de Boisgeloup (France) in 2017.
