Rudolf Polanszky

Born in 1951 in Vienna, Austrian artist Rudolf Polanszky is a key figure in the Vienna art scene who influenced and worked alongside artists such as Franz West and Dieter Roth.
His works are realized in processed and used materials such as acrylic glass, aluminum and cardboard. Rudolf Polanszky belongs to an illustrious generation of creative Austrian free spirits, like his close friend Franz West, who were always more interested in originality and the subconscious. Having made works for over 40 years and a spate of high-profile exhibitions at the at Museo Madre/Fondazione Morra Greco in Naples, and the Belvedere Museum and Secession in Vienna, Polanszky got major and well-deserved attention with inclusion in shows at the Rubell Family Collection in Miami and Beth Rudin DeWoody’s West Palm Beach-based The Bunker Artspace.
